Chris Charland, VE3OXU, will give us an introduction to amateur satellite communications.  He will tell us how to setup a station and explain your antenna/transceiver choices. Even without a transceiver, you will learn that you can listen to satellite transmissions via a small software-defined radio, such as the SDRPlay RSP1a. Chris will also speak about the satellite tracking capabilities found in software such as Ham Radio Deluxe and N2yo.

Before Chris’ presentation here are a few links that you may find useful:

SDR Play

Ham Radio Deluxe, and

N2yo

Come out and join us for Chris’ presentation on October 14, 2020, at 7:30 PM.

OARC members will receive an email with information on how to join the meeting. Non-members are always welcome to join us. Please send a request to EXECUTIVE at OARC.NET and ask for an invitation.
